Privacy Policy

Lattice is a premium hex word-puzzle game from Quiet Paper Studio. We collect the minimum data we need to sync your progress across your devices, and nothing else.

What we collect

Anonymous account identifier. When you open Lattice, the app signs you into an anonymous account managed by Google Firebase. This identifier (a string like abc123...) lets your progress sync between your devices if you reinstall. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any other identifying information unless you choose to sign in with Apple, Google, or email.
Sign-in identity (optional). If you choose to sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password, we associate your anonymous progress with that identity so you can sign in on a different device and recover everything. Apple's "Hide My Email" is fully supported. We do not see your password — Firebase handles it.
Display name (optional). If you enter a name in Settings, it is stored on your device only. We do not upload or sync it.
Level progress. Which grids you have started or completed and which words you have found, stored against your account identifier so the data appears on your other devices.
Purchase receipt. If you buy the full unlock, the store (Apple App Store or Google Play) sends us a receipt we verify once, then store a flag indicating your purchase is valid. We do not store your payment card number.

What we do not collect

No phone, address, or location.
No advertising identifiers. No third-party tracking.
No analytics that profile users across apps.
No camera, microphone, contacts, or photos.

Who we share it with

We use Google Firebase (authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions) and the respective app store for purchase verification. That's it. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and progress for as long as you use the game. You can delete all your data at any time via Settings → Delete account, which clears both the local copy and the cloud copy. The deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Children's privacy

Lattice is rated Everyone / 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (US) or under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction (typically 13-16). Because we do not collect personal information from anyone, this is not a problem.

Changes to this policy

If we meaningfully change what we collect or how we use it, we will publish the new policy here and bump the "Last updated" date. We will also show a one-time notice in the app.
